Quick Regional Moment Tensors, or QRCMTs, are centroid moment tensors computed rapidly
after an earthquake occurred in Euro-Mediterranean region and with a magnitude at least
4.5. For Italy we lower this thresold to 4.0. The computation method is the same used to
update RCMT European-Mediterranean Catalog
(Ardvisson and Ekstrom, 1998; Pondrelli et al., 2002). We use seismograms
recorded by MedNet and Geofon stations, obtained by the WebDC data
center of Geofon, Potsdam.
Previous and current QRCMTs have been pubblished on QRCMT MedNet webpage, on the INGV individual event page, when
available, and on the EMCS individual event
page. Starting from 2011, all QRCMTs solutions will be pubblished on this dedicated web
page and included in the RCMT Web Search Page
